“PARK TO PARK 2010” OFFICIAL REGULATIONS:

 

The Napoli Road Runners Association and C.R. FIDAL Campania are the organizers of the 3rd edition of “Park to Park” taking place on Sunday May 23rd, 2010.

This race counts for the   1st Trophy (championship) Italian-American Armed Forces .

 

Meeting place & race start

 

On Sunday, May 24, the jury and the competitors will meet at 7.30am by ‘Stazione Dhorn”, the marine biology center located in the “Villa Comunale” on “Via F. Caracciolo”. The race will start at 9.00am regardless of the weather conditions.

 

Participation

 

Entry is open to all the athletes belonging to the categories: ASSOLUTI– AMATORI – SENIOR MASTER M/F with regular FIDAL membership or membership in sport associations recognized by the FIDAL for the year 2010, the Associazione Sport e CIP companies for the Progetto Filippide. Participants belonging to foreign sports federations will have to present a health certificate ensuring their fitness suitability to the race and sign the disclaimer under the header ISCRIZIONI’.

 

Participation of Armed Forces and Police Corps

 

This race counts for the   1st Trophy (championship) Italian-American Armed Forces.

 

Registration

 

Registration applications, both by the individual runners and the sport associations, must be sent by fax to the number 0825 180 0889 and This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it by Wednesday, May 15, 2010. The application can be downloaded from the website in the registration section. No other forms of registration will be accepted.

By enrolling, the registered participants approve and accept all the race regulations published on the website: www.napoliroadrunners.it and the liability disclaimer of the organizers and authorize the use of the images produced during the event.

 

SUBSTITUTIONS OF REGISTERED ATHLETES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED AFTER MAY 18, 2010.

Timing

 

The race will be timed by the “Federazione Italiana Cronometristi”. Timing will be recorded and classifications will be elaborated through special code on the BIBS for electronic reading, supplied by “GARE PODISTICHE”.

 

Bags deposit

 

Before the race, the registered athletes may store their bags at the booths located by the race start at “Stazione Dhorn”, indicating the race bibs numbers. The participants are advised to turn in their bags before 8.30 am in order to allow the regular race start time. The Napoli Road Runners association will not be liable for any loss or damage of the items left in storage in the booths. 

 

 

Car parking& Bus pick up

 

The participants may park their cars in all the authorized areas (blue stripes).

 

Refreshments

 

Refreshments will be offered at the 5th km and at the finish line.

 

Race bibs

 

The race bibs can be picked up on FRIDAY, MAY 21st from 2pm to 8pm and on SATURDAY MAY 22nd from 10am to 2pm at “TEATRO TENDA”, located in Via Corrado Barbagallo, by the delegates of the associations participating in the race (the bibs cannot be picked up by the individual athletes). The individual participants will collect their race package only at the authorized location and at the hours mentioned above. The race packages will not be distributed on the race day. Those who do not pick up their race packages within the deadline will lose their right to participate to the race. However, the race packages can be collected within 7 days from the race at the location provided on the website www.napoliroadrunners.it at the “Info” section.

 

Technical & Medical Assistance

 

Technical and medical assistance will be guaranteed throughout the race and at the finish line.

 

Race course

 

The race course distance is 10 km. The race start is by the “Stazione Dhorn” in Via Caracciolo, and the finish line is by the “Cassa Armonica” in the park “Villa Comunale”. (The race course can be viewed in the “Percorso” section of the website).

 

Complaints

 

Complaints must be made according to the official regulations of the R.T. FIDAL and accompanied by a fixed fee of €25, which will be reimbursed in case that the complaint is accepted.

                

Prizes (individual) NOT FOR ARMED FORCES


Prizes will be given to the first 150 men and the first 70 women finishing the race. The first 20 athletes (first 10 men and first 10 women) will be awarded the following prizes:

The prizes for categories A and B. (goods of various nature) can be picked up at the stand "Ritiro Premi".

 

There will be special prizes for participants in the Progetto Filippide.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Association Prizes     NOT FOR ARMED FORCES

 

The top 10 classifying associations with at least 15 athletes arriving to the finish line will receive prizes.  The athletes who arrive at the finish line will receive points as follows: one point for the 1st, two for the 2nd, three for the 3rd, and so on to the last to arrive.

There will be only one classification per association and it will include both male and female athletes.

 

Team Prizes FOR ARMED FORCES

 

The classification of the athletes competing for the “1st Trophy (Championship) Armed Forces”

will be based on the sum of the timing data  recorded for the athletes in the top 5 positions at the finish line. A participation token will be given to all representatives

There will be special prizes for military personnel (first 3 classifying men and first 3 classifying women) participating in the 1st Trophy (Championship) Armed Forces.


Money Prize awarding

Both the individual and the associations’ money prizes for “assoluti” and “categories” will be awarded within November 30, 2010 upon a signed form by the winners and wired to their bank accounts. No other forms of payment will be allowed. Under any circumstances the money prizes will not be awarded on the race day.
